Gutters in Los Alamitos, Installed to Work With Your Roof

We install and repair continuous aluminum gutters and downspouts that carry roof water off your home and away from the foundation. Each run is sized, pitched and fastened so it drains instead of sagging, overflowing or rotting the fascia behind it.

Gutters Are the Last Step of Your Roof

A roof sheds water, but the gutters decide where that water ends up. When they're undersized, loose or pitched wrong, rain spills over the edge, soaks the fascia and lands right against your foundation, patio or garage slab.

We're a roofing company first, so we treat gutters as part of the roof edge. That means checking the drip edge, the fascia board and the shingles or tile above before we hang a single section. We're a licensed roofing contractor, CSLB 1092407 (C-39), and we'll tell you plainly when a gutter job is just a gutter job and when it touches roofing work that has to meet code.

Most of the year, gutters around here sit dry. Then a winter storm drops a lot of rain in a few hours, and every weak joint shows up at once. We build for those days.

Inside a New Gutter Install

One-piece aluminum sections
Each gutter comes off a coil in a single length that matches the wall it hangs on. With no splices along the run, the corners are the only seams that need sealing, so there are far fewer spots for drips to start.
Sizing that matches the roof
We look at roof area and pitch, not just wall length. Larger or steeper roofs often need a 6-inch K-style gutter and 3x4 downspouts instead of the standard 5-inch and 2x3.
Correct pitch and hangers
Gutters get a steady slope toward each outlet, roughly a quarter inch per 10 feet. Hidden hangers go in at close spacing and screw into solid framing, so the run holds its line under a full load.
Fascia and drip edge check
Soft or rotted fascia gets flagged before anything is hung on it. We also confirm a drip edge sits over the gutter so water can't wick behind it into the wood.
Downspouts that drain away
We place downspouts where water can be carried off, with elbows and extensions that move it away from the foundation and toward landscaping where possible.

Clues That Your Gutters Are Failing

  • Rain pouring past the lip

If an ordinary shower sends water sheeting over the outer edge, the gutter is likely clogged, too small or sloped the wrong way. Have it looked at before a bigger storm arrives.

  • A dip in the middle of a run

When a section bows down between its hangers, water collects in the low spot and stays there. That extra weight keeps tugging on the fascia, and over time the whole run can rip free.

  • Peeling paint or dark stains on the fascia

Staining behind the gutter often means water is getting between the gutter and the board. That's how fascia and roof sheathing edges start to rot.

  • Puddles or erosion along the foundation

Washed-out soil or standing water near the walls points to a short downspout or a leaking joint above.

  • Rust spots and leaking seams

Older steel gutters and sectional runs fail at the joints first. A few drips can turn into a steady stream along one wall.

How a Gutter Job Goes

  1. 1

A free look and a written estimate

We measure each run, check the fascia and the roof edge, and photograph anything that needs repair. You get a written estimate that lists every item, including any wood replacement.

  2. 2

    Prep and protection

On install day we set ladders carefully, protect plantings below and take down old gutters without tearing the fascia. Any rotted board we found gets replaced first.

  3. 3

    Forming and hanging

Our machine forms each section on site. We snap a line for the slope, hang the gutter on hidden hangers, seal the corners and cut the outlets.

  4. 4

    Water test and cleanup

Before we pack up, we pour water into each gutter and watch it travel to the outlets, checking every corner for drips. Then we collect screws, scraps and the old gutters so your yard looks the way it did before we showed up.

What Shapes Your Gutter Estimate

Two things set most of the cost: the length of gutter your home needs and the shape the roof edge is in behind it. Every part shows up as its own line on the written estimate, so nothing is buried. Financing is available through Service Finance Company, subject to credit approval.

Total linear feet
Longer runs and more corners mean more material and more labor. A single-story ranch home is a very different job from a two-story house with several roof levels.
Larger gutter profiles
A roof with a lot of surface area or a steep pitch may need 6-inch gutters paired with 3x4 downspouts. That bigger profile adds to the material bill, but it's often what keeps a large roof from overflowing in a hard rain.
Fascia repair
If boards are soft, they have to be replaced before new gutters go up. We show you photos so you know it's real.
Height and access
Second stories, steep slopes, tight side yards and landscaping close to the walls all add time and equipment.

Gutter Questions We Hear Often

Something not covered here? (562) 379-3378

Do I need a permit for new gutters?

In most cases, replacing gutters by themselves doesn't call for a building permit. If the job is part of a reroof or involves replacing roof edge components, it falls under the roofing permit, and we handle that and the inspection. We'll tell you up front which situation you're in.

Should I replace my gutters when I replace my roof?

It's often the smart time to do it, since the drip edge and fascia are exposed and easy to correct. We plan the roof edge and gutters together so the new roof sheds water straight into the gutter. If your current gutters are in good shape, we'll say so and reuse them.

Can you just repair my gutters instead of replacing them?

Yes, when the problem is limited. Resealing a leaking corner, re-pitching a sagging run or adding a hanger is often enough. If the gutters are rusted through or too small for the roof, we'll explain why repair won't last.

Will a storm-damaged gutter be covered by insurance?

Sometimes, if the damage came from a covered event like wind or a fallen limb. We work directly with your insurance claim by documenting the damage with photos and measurements. The adjuster makes the coverage decision, and we'll walk you through what they're looking at.

Do you work in nearby cities?

Yes. Along with Los Alamitos, we install and repair gutters in Rossmoor, Cypress, Seal Beach and the other surrounding communities. Se habla español, so we can talk through your project in English or Spanish.
